Read what the peoples forum recommended on youth in their document: Implement the resolutions made at the 8th Commonwealth Youth Ministers’ Meeting to place young people at the centre of sustainable development, support a specific, stand-alone Goal on young people’s empowerment, meaningful and effective participation in political processes and decision-making, and ensure youth related indicators for all goals. Provide access to lifelong skills based learning and better access to tertiary education for youth in terms of proximity and affordability.

MYCommonwealth conducted national consultations in the lead up to the Foreign Ministers Meeting held in New York, 2012, where the final decision on the recommendations were made. Spring Report for our Caribbean Region 2013
On the eve of MYCommonwealth’s creation, we were asked by the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade to make a presentation concerning the youth perspective of the proposed Commonwealth Charter. We reached out to our network and Royal Commonwealth Society youth members and undertook our very first national Commonwealth youth consultation.
